Variety: 90% Glera – 10% Pinot Nero
Residual sugar: 8 g/l

This wine blends the elegance of Pinot Noir and the versatility of Glera. The Glera grapes are white vinified, and the Pinot Noir red vinified, after brief pre-fermentation maceration of 24 – 36 hours. The two base wines are then blended before prise de mousse, which takes place on selected yeasts for at least ninety days. The wine ages in bottle for a month before distribution.

Variety: 100% Glera
Residual sugar: 10 g/l

Prosecco wine with unmistakable style, featuring outstanding elegance, versatility and finesse. Subtle on the palate, enveloping and fresh, it is vinified to the company’s best sparkling wine tradition that uses gravity in order to interfere as little as possible with the raw materials so that they represent and preserve the value of our land.

Merum 2022: 3 hearts to Borgo Maragliano

Merum 2022: 3 Hearts to Borgo Maragliano!

The wine magazine “Merum – Italien-Magazin für Wein, Olivenöl, Reisen und Speisen” assigned 3 Hearts to the Moscato d’Asti La Caliera DOCG 2021 of Borgo Maragliano

Congratulations to the whole staff of Borgo Maragliano!

SOME DETAILS ABOUT THIS WINE

Grapes: 100% Moscato Bianco di Canelli

Production: After harvesting, the ripe Moscato grapes undergo soft pressing.
The product obtained is chilled to 0°C to prevent fermentation. Each individual batch is filtered and put in a pressurised tank which retains the carbon dioxide and warms the product, which is still completely sugary, to a temp. of 15°C.
This promotes the fermentation process which is allowed to continue until an alcohol content of 5.5% vol. is reached.
The product, which is now Moscato d’Asti, is chilled to a temp. of 0 °C to block fermentation.
The wine is bottled at the beginning of November.

Tasting notes: A high-altitude Moscato, full-bodied and velvety with an intense bouquet featuring scents of candied fruit, acacia blossom and a musky background. The scent of “violet” is quite unique.

Gastronomic pairings: Served cool at a temperature of 10-12 °C in crystal glasses, it pairs delicately with desserts, fresh fruit and fruit salads.

Zenato’s awards’ update

Wine Spectator awarded Zenato's Lugana and Amarone

We are glad to inform you that the Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato 2019 received a
Silver Medal Decanter and 92 Points Vinous.

Well done!

This Lugana Riserva is the fruit of the Zenato family’s genuine passion and a reflection of their history in the appellation.

The grapes for this wine come from the oldest vines on their Podere Massoni farm. They are harvested slightly late, around mid-October.

Fermentation takes place in oak cask (70%) and stainless steel (30%).

Light brilliant gold in color, this wine delivers intense multi-faceted aromas on the nose, with floral and citrus notes, spices, white plum, and vanilla.

On the palate, it’s rich in flavor, with great depth and balance.
An ideal white for aging.
