Zenato’s Bardolino Chiaretto is made from the grapes Corvina Veronese, Rondinella, and Molinara. For the vinification there has been a brief skin contact. This gives the wine its coral pink color, which is as pleasant to the eyes as the flavor is on the palate.
Zenato’s Bardolino Chiaretto DOC 2020 received 91 points from Vinous, founded by Antonio Galloni.
TASTING NOTE:
“Crushed rocks and a dusting of savory spice give way to nuances of peach skin as the 2020 Chiaretto unfolds in the glass. This is silky-smooth, soothing further with notes of ripe white cherry and cooling mineral tones. There’s a lingering inner sweetness here, yet it fits in perfectly well, contrasting with hints of licorice and sour citrus that slowly fade. Very nice”. – Eric Guido – Vinous

The taste is delicate, balanced and very fresh.
The colour is an intense coral pink, with purple highlights .
Bouquet: fresh red fruit, white flowers and some notes of raspberries and currants.
Serve this wine at a temperature from 10-12° C.
It is excellent with lake fish, white meat, first courses and hors d’oeuvres.
