Map Bolgheri DOC
The ‘Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini DOC Bolgheri e DOC Bolgheri Sassicaia’ was founded in January 1995, shortly after the issuance of regulations that were governing the production of red wine in 1994.
This consortium is the officially recognized consortium by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Forestry Policies and Tourism for promotion, protection and the management of Bolgheri DOC and Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC wine appellations.
This summer’s general census defined the current state of the 65 member’s vineyards of the terroir of Bolgheri and Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC vineyards. This represents > 97% of the 1359 DOC hectares.
