Gold for Zenato's Alanera at the Berliner Wine Trophy

Gold for Zenato’s Alanera:

Zenato’s Rosso Veneto IGT 2019 Alanera received a gold medal at the

  Berliner Wine Trophy

The Berliner Wine Trophy brings well-known producers and distributors from around the world together every year. Since the patronage of the OIV in 2004 it has become the world’s largest international wine challenge and as well Germany’s most influential wine competition. The number of samples submitted is steadily growing and there is a winter and summer edition.

Alanera:

This Rosso Veronese, named Alanera, is a tribute to Sergio Zenato’s  legacy of bringing understanding, wisdom and rigorous work to viticulture in Valpolicella.

Alanera’s fruit hails from the Costalunga vineyard. The landscape is remarkable as it overlooks the city of Verona, while partly hugging Lake Garda and being seemingly embraced by the impressive Monte Baldo and the Lessinian mountain ranges.

3 Swallows:

There are 3 swallows on the label, these serve as symbol to these landscape elements as well to its trio of native grapes: Corvina, Rondinella
and Corvinone.

Food pairing:

The wine perfectly fits to braised or roasted red meats, but also to game, robust ragus and aged Italian cheeses.

Serve it at a temperature of 18 °C.
