Alessandra Quarta: Meritorious of Italian Viticulture
The most important award at Vinitaly goes to the winemaker Alessandra Quarta for the Puglia region.
The “Angelo Betti Award, is a tribute to the creator of Vinitaly. An accolade established in 1973 in collaboration with the Regional Agricultural Policy Authorities.
Alessandra Quarta is the youngest producer to receive this prestigious recognition which is bestowed annually upon those who have significantly contributed to the promotion and enhancement of the viticultural culture in their region.
By working on experimentation, she initiated research projects with the University of Milan, the Faculty of Agriculture, and the University of Salento.
