Dedicated to Lambrusco:

A third generation wine grower, a life dedicated to Lambrusco:

Alberto Paltrinieri, called Paltro”by his friends, is from the Sorbara area of Lambrusco.

His passion for the area and the indigenous varieties makes him explore the potentials of Lambrusco, beyond the known qualities and standards. Today, Alberto and his wife Barbara, grow and vinify the grapes grown on 17 hectares of vineyards. These are situated near the town of Sorbara, in an area longknown as Il Cristo. This area consists of a swath of land extending between the rivers Secchia and Panaro, which embrace the province of Modena. Paltrinieri puts all focus on the indigenous varieties Lambrusco di Sorbara and some Lambrusco Salamino for the reds, and Trebbiano for the white. The vineyards are managed in the cordon system. Between the 2 rivers the alluvial soils are loose, with chalk, sand and mineral deposits.

Leclisse:

The name Leclisse comes from a painting that represents a lunar eclipse; this is always a surprise, as the wine is as well.

Wine and Food Pairing:

Paltrinieri’s Lambrusco Leclisse suits very well as an aperitif. Pair it for example with oysters or a tartare of raw fish, or with a platter of cold cuts. But it also tastes well with tortellini or meat.
