A Tale of Two Harvests: How Nature and Smart Investments are shaping a great vintage
The grape harvest is always a season of anticipation, and this year we are thrilled to share positive updates from two of our producers: Masseria del Feudo and Torre Raone.
While they experienced different growing conditions, both estates are reporting a fantastic harvest—a testament to both natural blessings and dedicated expertise.
Masseria del Feudo: the prolonged warm weather was followed by a significant temperature shift between the end of August and the beginning of September. Combined with the rainfall in July and carefully managed irrigation, these conditions helped restore balance to the vines and supported a slow, healthy ripening process.
The result was a beautiful harvest of healthy, vibrant grapes, with excellent balance and freshness—a true reflection of a season shaped by Mother Nature’s perfect timing.
The 2026 vintage has certainly been among the most difficult experienced at Torre Raone, with high temperatures starting as early as May and continuing uninterrupted until mid-September.
With a scorching and dry summer, the grapes ripened extremely early, so much so that the harvest began on August 5.
“Thanks to the reservoir, we were able to carry out emergency irrigation, which saved the crop and led to a truly rewarding harvest. The lake, which collected rainwater during the winter, was undoubtedly a huge ally for us and will be a great resource if it rains during the coming winter.”
