As usual the truths lies in the details. There is difference from region to region regarding quantity. Quality is in most areas good, but not extraordinary.
Franciacorta and areas in the Valpolicella Classico area have less quantity due to extreme weather.
Maremma and Puglia have lost crop due to frost.
Chianti and Prosecco are very happy.
Piemonte presents as in many years very heterogenic, some areas even produced high quantities others were hit by heavy hail.
Sicily claims good quality with reasonable quantities and so does Sardegna.
Abruzzo declares a slightly higher quantity with good quality very similar to the situation in Marche.
