Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2019
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2019 from Gracciano della Seta has been awarded with 92 points by Decanter.
Since 1980, the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a DOCG. Vino a denominazione di origine controllata. (Controlled and guaranteed designation of origin.) This corresponds to the highest recognition on the Italian wine market.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is one of the oldest and most prestigious Tuscan wines. It comes from a clone of the Sangiovese variety that is called in Montepulciano the Prugnolo Gentile. And that is because of its characteristic plum bouquet. The special link between Sangiovese and the terroir goes back to ancient times. The rich sand and clay soil create the ideal conditions for producing full-bodied, aromatic wines with delicate tannins.
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Gracciano has a bright ruby colour, an intense ripe cherry and plum nose. The taste is dry, balanced and persistent with rounded tannins.
The wine perfectly fits to roasts, game and matured cheese.

Then by the Svetoni winery (which today is Gracciano della Seta Estate) and was awarded the first prize at the International Fair of Turin.
