” Crushed blackberries mix with nuances of brown spice and peppery herbs as the 2018 Nero d’Avola Rosso delle Rose opens up in the glass. It’s silky yet lifted in feel, quite energetic as well, with a pure display of woodland berries and a motivating twang of sour citrus. This tapers off wonderfully refreshing yet a bit short, as hints of white pepper and inner florals linger.” Eric Guido, tasting date May 2021.
