A journey into the heart of Le Marche: from the heart of the CasalFarneto estate comes the Luigi Primo, a distinguished Rosso Piceno that captures the essence of the region’s red winemaking heritage. This exquisite wine is a masterful blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes, two of Central Italy’s most noble varietals.

This wine is not just a beverage; it is an experience—a journey into the heart of Le Marche’s viticultural excellence.

A Rich Tapestry of Aromas and Flavors: The Luigiprimo is a wine of depth and complexity. On the nose, it unveils an intense bouquet of ripe red fruits, with prominent notes of black cherry and raspberry, elegantly interwoven with hints of black pepper, coffee, and a touch of chocolate.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2025: Red and White Wine Session

The 32nd edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles for red and white wines was held from June 10 to 12, 2025, in Yinchuan, in the heart of the Ningxia wine region in China. During this event, an international jury of 375 experts blind-tasted over 7,165 wines from 49 countries.

Italy achieved an exceptional result, confirming its position among the major players in the competition with a total of 351 awards, including 15 Grand Gold Medals, 132 Gold Medals, and 204 Silver Medals.

The CasalFarneto winery received a significant recognition in this year’s competition.

Silver for Santadi’s Rocca Rubia

Santadi’s Rocca Rubia 2020 received a silver medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2023

The Cantina di Santadi Winery is located in the Sulcis area, in South-western Sardinia, just a few miles from the dazzling beaches and white sand dunes of Porto Pino.

Wise use of French barriques gives a perfect, harmonious finishing touch to the development of these superb wines. The great reds: Terre Brune, Rocca Rubia, Noras, Araja, Grotta Rossa and Antigua, are accompanied by stylish whites: Villa di Chiesa, Cala Silente, Pedraia, Villa Solais, Latinia.

The Rocca Rubia 2020 got a silver medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2023.

Rocca Rubia:

Classification: Carignano del Sulcis DOC Riserva

Grapes: 100% Carignano

Harvesting: by hand, starting in late September and ending around mid October

Wine and food pairing:

The wine matches very well with red meat, wild boar, roast suckling pig and matured Pecorino cheese.

VINICATION AND DEVELOPMENT: After stemming and crushing, the grapes are fermented and macerated for 12-14 days in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of 25-28 °C. During this period, the must is frequently pumped up, thus fully absorbing the noble tannins typical of bush-grown carignano. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to small, fine grained 1st and 2nd-passage French oak casks for 10-12 months, to further develop its biochemical and chemical-physical properties, aroma and taste. Further aging in the bottle for several months enables early bouquet development.

TASTING NOTES:

Colour: Deep, almost solid ruby red.

Nose: Intense fruity notes of blackberry, blueberry, vanilla, myrtle, leather and liquorice.

Palate: Big and velvety, great structure and long aromatic finish, a full-bodied wine.

Masottina’s Montesco got silver !

Masottina’s Montesco 2015 received a silver medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2021

Appellation: Colli di Conegliano DOC

47% Cabernet Sauvignon,

13% Cabernet Franc

10% Marzemino

Conegliano Valdobbiadene

The story of Masottina is written in the Prosecco hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in 2019 listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, established as one of the 56 most beautiful places in Italy and one of the 1121 most spectacular places in the world.
This acknowledgement was achieved after carefully examining the area’s history, economy, sociology and particularly local viticulture through the geomorphology and evolutionary dynamics of its use of the soil. A fundamental contribution was made by aesthetics and literature, but above all the history of art, which thanks to Cima di Conegliano has made it possible to discover the historic traces of the places depicted in his works of art.

The Prosecco hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene include 15 municipalities. The hill area starts in the north west with Valdobbiadene and ends in the south east with Conegliano, and is acknowledged as ‘unique’ by UNESCO for three main characteristics: the geomorphological aspect, use of embankments and the mosaic-like landscape.
