Villa di Vetrice is a magical place, where wonderful wines are made.

For example the Chianti Rufina 2020, just awarded with 90 points from James Suckling.

The wine is “showing aromas of grilled mushrooms, tomato leaves and red berries. It’s savory and pleasantly earthy, with a medium body and medium tannins. Juicy and already showing signs of development. Drink now.“

We can only agree with this and recommend to drink this wine with roast, game or well-matured cheeses. And when you are near, visit this beautiful place to see where the wines come from..

And yes… it’s as easy as a Tuscan morning: you leave Florence, drive east a few miles and suddenly a whole new world opens up before you – the hills of Chianti Rufina. Near the city Pontassieve you will discover the wineries of Villa di Vetrice.

The villa has a history that reached even all the way back to the 11^th century. Five generations already now has been run by vintners with passion for the tradition.
