Elegant nose with hints of sweetness, strawberry and candied cherry. Very pleasant on the palate, with silky tannins and a delicious fruity expression.

Peach and dried apricot on the nose, with muscatel accents. On the palate, very fine mousse and considerable sweetness, balanced by fine acidity. An elegant whole.

The nose has floral accents of elderberry and fruity notes of ripe pear and green apple. Silky mousse, strong minerality and a long, harmonious finish.

Cantina Colli Euganei is situated in the heart of the Veneto region, in the middle of an area that has been dedicated to vine and olive tree growing since ancient times.
Today, it is acknowledged by the latest regulations of 2010 as a DOC and DOCG area.

The grapes are grown on the farms of the municipalities of Vo’, Rovolon, Torreglia, Galzignano Terme, Lozzo Atestino, Cinto Euganeo, Arquà Petrarca, Este, Baone, comprising 700 hectares of rows of vines and providing an opportunity to best enhance the character of various wines: from fragrant white wines sweetened by the sun to more intense velvety red wines.
The northern slopes give rise to Serprino wines with their young and bubbly character, enriched with hints of flowers and fruit. The areas most exposed to the sun highlight the balanced sweetness of Fior d’Arancio DOCG, whereas the soils to the south provide full-bodied and intense red wines.
This varied morphological landscape, offering soils with different nutrients, is the perfect habitat for highly prestigious native grape varieties such as Serprina, Moscato Giallo, Moscato Bianco and Pinella, as well as international varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

GRAPE: Vermentino 85%, Nuragus 15%.
TASTING NOTES: Brilliant straw yellow, with green and golden tinges. Fresh and pleasant on the nose. On the palate delivers a nice fresh finish together with an attractive mineral note.
MATCHINGS: Its favourite matches are seafood first courses and white meat. Especially pleasant when served very cool, also as an aperitif.

GRAPE: Nuragus 100%,
TASTING NOTES: Elegant straw yellow with greenish highlights. Intense aromas of yellow fruit, citrus, green apple and yellow flowers. Full-bodied and delicate, it envelops the palate with a pleasant savory finish.
MATCHINGS: Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with shellfish and seafood appetizers, white meats, or tofu.

TASTING NOTES: Brilliant pink with coppery highlights. Elegantly fruity with hints of berries, strawberry and elderflower.

San Zopito’s day

San Zopito’ day: the Festa di San Zopito is the traditional annual celebration in Loreto Aprutino (province of Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy) in honor of San Zopito Martire, the town’s patron saint. It is one of the most deeply felt religious and cultural festivals in the local calendar, blending devotion, legend, folklore, community and popular festivity.

The story:

On a warm Sunday, May 22 of the year 1711, a slow procession came winding through the Abruzzo hills. It was on its way from the bishop’s palace in Penne towards the small town of Loreto Aprutino.

They were bringing two recently acquired relics to the local church.

The relics consisted in a box with an arm and the skull of a rather obscure saint, San Zopito. He had died a martyr, or so the story goes, around the year 300 AD in Rome, and his remains had been buried in the Vatican deposits, until in 1711 Pope Clemens XI donated them to the clergy of Loreto Aprutino.

While the believers and their treasure were happily on their way, they passed some fields where a farmer was busy ploughing with two oxen.

At that moment one of the 2 animals moved away from the farmer, ignoring his calls and approaching the procession, then it bowed soberly and spontaneously as a sign of reverence.

Since then, every year, an ox carries the relics on Whitsuntide Monday through Loreto Aprutino.

The celebration:

The Festa di San Zopito is nowadays a colourful 2-day festival celebrating this oxen moment. One the most beautiful rural one Abruzzo where the locals will attend church services, participate in religious processions, enjoy live music and street food.

The trained ox, nicknamed the ‘White Knight’ wears a scarlet cloak with images of the Saints, and relics, kneels and gives praise in specific areas of the town as he is a tramite (vehicle of the divine).

A local primary schoolgirl, dressed like an angel, stands on its back representing San Zopito.

The new vintage of Monzio Compagnoni’s Franciacorta Millesimato Brut Rose’ 2021 has arrived and is available from today, now presented dark bottle.

Franciacorta Rosé Brut Millesimato is a wine of character and body, with an unmistakable color and persistent perlage. A gastronomic wine that lends itself to multiple combinations thanks to its many facets and its fresh balance.

Color: straw yellow with a slight hint of green, abundant foam and extremely fine perlage.

Bouquet: There are clear, sustained floral hints alongside the traditional bread crust and more delicate hints of peach and apple, and it has remarkable freshness and minerality.

Taste: Initial sensation of freshness with notes of grapefruit and tangerine and a final toasty note.

Blend: 80% Pinot Nero, 20% Chardonnay
Type of flavour: Brut (up to 5 gr./ lt.
Method: Champenoise
Alcohol content: 12.5°

With the Pinot Grigio Ramato “Mää,” Weingut Klaus Lentsch consciously embarks on a new path. The idea stems from a desire to reinterpret Pinot Grigio, giving it greater expression, depth, and personality.

Process: The grapes macerate on the skins for six to eight days, taking on a signature copper hue while developing intense aromas and a more mineral structure.
Aging: Approximately 15% of the wine matures in wood for one year before being blended with the young wine.
Profile: The result is a powerful yet balanced wine that shows its best qualities, particularly in spring and summer.

The label also breaks sharply from tradition: it was created with the help of Artificial Intelligence and, presumably, a healthy dose of imagination—an element that underscores the wine’s creative character and the winery’s philosophy of blending tradition with new ideas.
